Since 2013, Fortuna has had the pleasure of partnering with Bayardo's farm in Matagalpa. Over the years, Finca San Jose De Las Nubes has continued to produce high quality micro lots we are proud to roast and distribute. Traditionally, Nicaragua is known for its clean, washed coffees, but Bayardo recognized the growing demand for something more. Rising to the occasion, he has worked hard to dial in and experiment with other process methods and submitted his coffee to the Nicaragua Cup of Excellence competition. This coffee received a cupping score of 86.85 and has been recognized as an Alliance for Coffee Excellence National Winner (ACE). We are thrilled to offer this Anaerobic natural Maragogype varietal and it is a special one you don't want to miss!
